Habitus is a captivating contemporary dance performance by the collective NAFASS that delves into the intricacies of human behavior and societal influence. The scenography of the performance cleverly integrates 3D mapping and real-time light tracking, creating a visually stunning and dynamic backdrop for the dancers. The concept of habitus, the idea that our behaviors and movements are shaped by unconscious social expectations, is artfully explored throughout the performance. Through mesmerizing choreography and innovative technology, the audience is taken on a journey to uncover the subconscious forces that drive our actions and interactions. The use of sand in the performance serves as a powerful symbol of life, death, borders, and belonging, adding a layer of depth and symbolism to the already thought-provoking production.
